Why Creativity is Good For Your Mind, Body and Bank Balance

I’m Sophie Hannah Walker - artist, writer and photographer. These creative activities are essential for my wellbeing. I have used art as therapy all my life to manage challenging mental health. This led me to ten year studying the psychology of creativity. I now have multiple qualifications in this area. It turned out that most of my struggles were due to undiagnosed neurodivergence and hidden disabilities. Alongside my art, writing and photography I offer a range of therapeutic creative meditations, workshops and courses as well as one to one creative coaching and mentoring for neurodivergent people and those managing hidden disabilities.

I paint landscapes and abstract canvases, photograph sea, sky and the streets. I write fiction, poetry and a weekly Substack about the benefits of creativity from a psychology and neurodivergent perspective, as well as my studio practice, plus a weekly therapeutic Attentive Art activity.
